What an incredible day!! We started with another great breakfast served by our Indian mom. At 10:00am we left to go to the Amber Fort.
It's so beautiful. Our guide taught us a lot about what used to be in the fort and palace and about Indian gods and goddesses. It was very interesting.
Spencer and Dad also got to ride an elephant to the top of the fort. I will get to ride one on Thursday. It looked like a lot of fun.
We also visited a special shop within the fort village where they hand make rugs, pashmina clothes, and artwork. We also went souvenir shopping. I got some cool clothes and a painting.
Finally, we went to Jantar Mantar. It was sort of like an outdoor science museum. There are many large instruments for tracking planets and measuring time. They have the largest sun dial in the world.
I think that it's amazing that an instrument that was built in the 1700s is still accurate and used now. We also learned about horoscopes and how important they are to the Hindi people.
Overall today was so much fun and I can't wait for tomorrow. I miss everyone back home and am looking forward to sharing more stories when I come back.
