First we went to the Royal Albert Museum. In my opinion it kinda dragged on. This museum had artifacts, art, musical instruments, and weapons from all over the world. There were also many paintings of the many kings of Jaipur and the many Indian gods.
Next we visited Hawa Mahal ("Palace of Winds"). We almost got killed walking across the street to get a better picture! Not really... but it was scary. We didn't actually go in the palace but it's a place where the royal women can watch public festivities from behind the stone screen since they had to remain hidden from view.
Then it got really hot and we went to the City Palace which is the home of the royal family. The palace also has a museum about the royal family history. Here's a fun fact - the current king is only seventeen years old, seven years older than me! It also kinda dragged on.
Then we had lunch but I don't want to make you hungry so I won't get into that. Then we went to a poor school to meet some students and teachers. Our guide Jugal attended this school when he was young. We got to see them rehearse their Independence Day dances for the August 15th celebration. They asked me to recite the pledge of allegiance in Spanish and Jayden also sang the national anthem.
I noticed how we are so blessed to have what we have and I know what you're thinking and I actually mean that. It wasn't something my mom made me write. Afterwards we went to our guide's childhood house which was in the same poor area.
