14 long hours later we arrived safely in New Delhi. Did I mention the plane trip was long? We passed the time watching movies, eating airplane food, and sleeping in about 15 minute increments. The boys did a great job and, as always, proved to be awesome travelers!
At the airport we were met by our guides, Rampal and Jatin, who brought with them a lovely bouquet of roses. We look forward to spending the next couple of weeks with them.
Our drive to the hotel was exciting and we held our breath as our driver navigated through the crowded streets of Delhi. We learned about the three essentials when driving here: good horn, good brakes, and good luck!
Once we arrived at out hotel, we were in awe of the opulence. Leela takes five star to the next level and the decor is breathtaking and no detail is overlooked. The beauty is only surpassed by the hospitality. Our room is decadent but still comfortable and we were delighted to find it filled with treats when we arrived, including a birthday cake!
We are very much looking forward to our first day here! Thanks for sharing the adventure with us!
